First of all, they provide you with, what I can only describe as Elmer's glue and plastic pegs to put this together. I put it together directly according to the instructions and as soon as I picked it up to move it where I wanted it, it fell completely apart causing multiple pegs to break and the back cardboard to rip off. I am too close to the school year starting to replace it and have it in time so I ended up having to spend even more money to buy some sturdier material for the back support and nails in order to put it all back together. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. For the almost $100 I spent on this it was not worth that or the time I spent on it and will likely be finding something different as soon as I can. Ridiculous!I should have read through all of the reviews first! I didn't realize that the inserts were cardboard! I thought The frame itself is ok, although as you can see in the pictures, there was a chunk missing off the front right bottom of the unit. I thought maybe it fell off into the box and I could at least glue it on, but it was nowhere to be found. The black plastic pieces that you put on the front of the shelves are hard to put on and keep popping off. Maybe if they were a bit longer and touched both sides, it would make it a bit sturdier. Be aware that when you first assemble the frame it will be very wobbly. The cardboard backing is what gives it stability, but when you try to put the black plastic things on the front of the shelves, any pressure pushes the cardboard right through the itty bitty nails that are tacked on the back. Honestly, it will definitely help me get more organized (for personal papers at home), but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone at this price. I don't see it holding up in a classroom if you intended to use it as mailboxes for kids.I am a first year teacher who purchased this product to use as "Classroom Mailboxes" for my students. First of all, I was disappointed when I received the package and the box was severely torn on the side and has simply been repaired with glass tape. The box was very cheap and flimsy. This caused the styrofoam to bust inside and there were tiny white styrofoam pieces that ended up going everywhere in my classroom when I took all the pieces out to build it. It was a pain sweeping all the little styrofoam pieces off of every piece. Then, I was disappointed to find out that the shelves are cardboard. The picture makes it look as if the shelves are going to be nice boards, but it turns out only the outside tan pieces are particle board. When constructing it, they do provide glue which was nice but you had to wait 6 hours for the glue to dry which was a little annoying since I wanted to build it right then in my classroom. In the end, once it was all put together, it really wasn't as bad as I originally thought it would be but I'm not sure I'd pay that much money for something like this again - I definitely wouldn't if the shipping quality is that poor again. As I said, I'm a brand new teacher fresh out of college who has many years of teaching and life ahead of me so I will be buying many more office type products but I'm hesitant to purchase from Fellowes again even though I had heard good things about it.I'm using this in my home office to organize my papers a bit. In the past, all of the incoming paper just goes into pile on my desk. The pile method is very convenient for storing paper. However, this is not a very effective way to prioritize my business or make things accessible for quick retrieval. It also looks terrible and makes my wife call me a "paper hoarder." But I insist, "Honey, these papers are important! Well, at least some of them." It's true, some of my paper is important. For example, when we closed escrow on our house the escrow company sent us a check for $5,000. I didn't find the check until seven months later when I was on a home office "doing business" binge. Fortunately, the bank ignored the six month expiration when I deposited the check. But then I found several other checks from the insurance company, where they had refunded the excess money I sent with my premiums -- because I overpay to be safe, because I'm not sure how much I owe, because I put the bills on the pile and they get lost. Now things are much better. I use the Fellowes organizer to keep each type of paper in its own cubby. Now whenever I have doubts about how much I should send to whome, I can conveniently access the most recent bill they sent and it's right there. Whenever any of the cubbies look like it's getting too full, I just pull the bottom half of the contents and run it through the shredder -- being careful, of course, to be sure there are no checks in there.I love it!I had one of these years ago, but for a short time thought that I couldn't accommodate one of this size; I bought something smaller from another company and after I moved, was I ever sorry! The smaller one from the other manufacturer was HORRIBLE. The shelves fell and everything on them so I ordered one of these great organizers. I'm so glad that I did. It cleaned up the space for which I needed it in no time flat! It was very easy to put together with clear pictured instructions. I threw the other one out into the trash - no one could have used it, it was so bad, and I'm very happy with this. It supports my printer, a modem/router, and two telephones. I keep it on the floor and store all my office supplies in it right in the corner of my rather small living room. It makes my life easier by keeping so many objects neat and in their place, and it looks very good. The shelves and the dividers are made of double layered, heavy black cardboard and will support an entire ream of paper. Having had one of these in the past, I know it is strong and more than just serviceable. It is a real bargain. I just wish I'd known the dimensions of my new apartment before I ordered the other lousy organizer. You will NOT be disappointed by this organizer. It's really wonderful, especially for the money I paid for it.Tablette en carton
